It's all about digging up the talent in our local music scene.
Each week Carl showcases an artist or band from Hertbeat Country: playing their tracks and of course there's our famous monthly live sessions where we have artists in the studio to play live and give you the chance to get involved too.
The Chambers
Local band from Hoddesdon will be joing Carl on the Evening Bit this week ahead of the launch of their debut EP. Carl will be bringing you highlights of the bands work throughout the week, plus the band will be Rocking Wednesday with an exclusive live session
Trouble With Tuesday
To promote a festival put together to promote Alzheimers awareness, Stevenage band Trouble with Tuesday will be in to play some tracks including the Truzrock Anthem Strong Enough. Truzrock takes place in Milton Keynes on Bank Holiday Monday (31st August. For more information check out www.truzrock.com
Stacy Smith
Another Live Session on the Evening Bit comes in the shape of Stacy Smith from St Albans. She'll be launching her new album in November, but hopefully she'll be able to give fans a sneak peak with her session tracks this week.
Jukebox Vandals
Hailing from Walkern near Stevenage, this weeks Hertbeat Unearthed artist are Jukebox Vandals. They have a new EP due out later in the year, so it's definately worth having a refresher of some of the tracks from the bands debut EP Kitcheners Lane.
Wayne Morgan
Another great local artist, this week with a great jazz sound, it's Wayne Morgan from High Cross near Ware. Check out the Evening Bit to hear some great tracks from a great local artist this week.
Annie Dale
Carl kicks of his ownership of The Evening Bit by digging up Annie Dale on Hertbeat Unearthed. Annie's a great singer/songwriter from Standon and will be appearing at the Standon Calling festival - check out the What's On Guide for details.
