Dawn Profile

Birthplace? Fulford Hospital, Yorkshire (scarily no longer in existence!)
School Nickname? generally Prawn, but DEE, Easbo, Easboid or just plain Easby
Favourite film? Now that's a hard one; I did a film degree so I love a lot of films! Off the top of my head The Motorcycle Diaries, La Haine, Le Grand Bleu, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Shining, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Pulp Fiction, Indiana Jones, The Good the Bad & the Ugly... we could be here all day!
Favourite TV show? Has to be Hereos - no-one's allowed to talk to me when it's on!
Favourite band? Too hard to say, because there's so many brilliant ones and I constantly change my mind (well it doesn't do to be predictable you know!). Plus there's loads of really great local bands round Hertbeat Country, (check out 'Hertbeat Unearthed' with Marcus!). I love hearing music live, and so really enjoy Club 85, the Doctor's Tonic and the Tavern when they put artists on!
What is your favourite town in Hertfordshire? Letchworth Garden City where all the finest Hertfordians live (including your truly!)
If you were not a presenter, what job would you want to have? Pudding Taster - do they exist? mmmm
What is the most you've ever spent on a pair of shoes? Agh, now that's a hard one... I spent 250 Euros on a gorgous pair of Italian made boots in Rome... not any old shoes, 2 tone leather, lined and beautiful! They're falling apart now cos I've worn them so much & I'm gutted!
What is your favourite bar or restaurant in Hertfordshire? Sukawatee in Hitchin right now (try the Mango chicken and Coconut Rice!)
Who's the most famous person you've ever met? Probably Tiger Woods at an international golf tournament in Australia where I was serving drinks on the golf course!! Oh and I once sat opposite Ant (of Ant & Dec) on a train on the way to Newcastle. And a little while back I spent a couple of hours drinking with the boys from El Presidente.
What are your favourite songs on your Ipod? Jack Johnson the 'Bananna Pancakes' one, Stevie Wonder 'You are the Sunshine of my Life', Wham! 'Club Tropicana', 'Glory Box' Portishead. Plus some good jazz thrown in to relax to.
The gadget I use the most is? My mobile - it's my lifeline! I only realised how important it is to me when my old one packed in recently - total disaster!!
Eastenders or Coronation Street? Actually neither.... don't have time for soaps..although I do sometimes catch Hollyoaks (Chris is always on about it so I got sucked in - what can I say?! I had to text him the other day to ask which channel 1st look Hollyoaks was on!!)
I love Hertbeat FM because...? The music is fab!! Take us to outer space and even the aliens would fall in love with us!
