Chris Hollis

Birthplace? Hitchin

School Nickname? Simply 'Hollis'. Thomas Alleynes pupils circa 1994 weren't known for their originality.

Favourite film? Taxi Driver. You talkin' to me?

Favourite TV show? I'm Alan Partridge, The Day Today or Family Guy.

Favourite band? Probably changes daily - Today, it's The Clash.

What is your favourite town in Hertfordshire? Hitchin - I live there, and love everything about it. The people, the cafes, the market, the music, the bars, the green areas up towards Willian, the fact I saw an otter once....

If you were not a news guru, what job would you want to have? You know that old man with a massive beard who sits day and night in the pub ranting to himself but gains a twisted respect from most due to his bizarre musings and jaded cynical outlook on everything? Yeah, him.

What is the most you've ever spent on a pair of shoes? I barely ever buy shoes for myself - I just wait for Christmas and birthdays.

What is your favourite bar or restaurant in Hertfordshire? Molly Malones in Hitchin. Purely because it's the only place I can go where the barman says "ah, the usual sir?" ...No, really.

Who's the most famous person you've ever met? Steve Folland.

What are your favourite songs on your Ipod? "Admit It" by Say Anything "First Breath After Coma" by Explosions in the Sky and "To The Teeth" By Ani DiFranco

The gadget I use the most is? My laptop. My computer, I mean - I'm not suggesting the top of my lap is a gadget. Although if I did have a mechanical groin, I'd probably use it for all sorts of things - changing the channel, repairing tyre punctures, stuff like that.

Eastenders or Coronation Street? Hollyoaks, baby.

I love Hertbeat FM because...? I work with some absolutely awesome people, I get to be myself and do what I love doing - Plus, I get to eat vast amounts of baked goods with very little weight on my conscience. Bonus.
