Hertbeat Apprentice

The Final!
Throughout June 2009, Sir Steve searched for a new member of the Hertbeat family. In the end it was Apprentice Carl who won in the final boardroom face off. See the pictures here! Not only will you hear him on Breakfast or out with the Streetbeat team but Sir Steve has given him his own show! Take a look below at all the action with all of our amazing Apprentice candidates who have been so brilliant on air. Thankyou also for all your 'Nick & Maragaret' emails!

Lauren from Welwyn Garden City - FIRED!
Lauren Farrier has been a fan of Hertbeat FM since she was being taken on the school runs, now at university her love for radio has only grown. She is part of a 'Cheesetastic' show on her University radio station and now wants a chance to join us at Hertbeat. Having an extensive taste in music but being an avid 80's fan she wants to convert all of Hertfordshire to Duran Duran!
She can talk for hours about anything but is that enough to get her noticed and become the new Hertbeat Apprentice?

James from Welwyn Garden City - FIRED!
James is a self confessed 'Steve Stalker' by being the first person to follow his blog. He believes that his season ticket at Bernet makes him no stranger to ridicule and has a library of witty banter to add to the Breakfast Team. He claims to do the best Richie Benaud impression ever heard which makes him "Cool and Nerdy"
Is James what we're looking for in the new Hertbeat Apprentice?

Jonney from Baldock - FIRED!
Jonney believes his work for a Hospital Radio Station and internet radio make him the perfect candidate for the position of apprentice with the Breakfast Team. He is keen to move into mainstream radio and thinks an apprenticeship will offer the perfect opportunity. Jonney says he is willing to do "anything to get there" even cleaning Steve's shoes.
Will shining Sir Steve's shoes be enough to make Jonney a contender?

"From amoeba to DJ and beyond!"
With his quick wit and good sense of humor could Owen be the new Hertbeat Apprentice? - (Erm, no. He got fired first)
